Pine State Dwellings was founded by Boone Olson — who had a vision: to build high-quality, well-designed homes that fit the way people actually live today. With backgrounds in construction, design, and a deep appreciation for Maine’s way of life, he set out to create something different: modern ADUs that are practical, beautiful, built to last, and built in your own backyard.

Our designs are inspired by the clean simplicity of Scandinavian architecture and grounded in the rugged functionality required by Maine’s seasons. We believe that homes should feel intentional — not just in how they look, but in how they work for real people and real families.
